This region is noted for its rich native habitation with places like Mamalilaculla being an excellent example. Mamalilaculla is an abandoned native village with remnants of homes, totems and a long house situated on Village Island. This region also includes spectacular Knight and Kingcome Inlets both fjord like with glacier fed rivers. At the entrance to Kingcome Inlet is a Kwakiutla native signpost welcoming visitors . Islands exposed to Queen Charlotte Strait are rich in wildlife, with spectacular intertidal zones, sea lion haul outs and sea bird colonies. North of Broughton Island are several interesting sites such as Roaring Hole Rapids, Turnball Cove and Greenway Sound Marine Resort, a popular destination for boaters.
