This map covers the northern portion of the Canadian Inside Passage, from seaforth Channel (north of Bella Bella) in the south to the Portland Canal (US Border) to the north. This region is considered the wildest and remote, the most spectacular section of coastline of North America. This section of coastline is sparsely populated with very few settlements found and the odd fishing camp. These waters are also known to have several very popular thermal hot springs, the most well known being Bishop Bay. Some of the more renown areas include the Kitlope Valley, Fjordland, and Princess Royal Island. Grenville Channel is the most popular route, starting from Port Hardy, ending in Prince Rupert. The route north to Prince Rupert from Bella Bella leads through a narrow series of channels, passes, and reaches with spectacular vistas of sown and ice covered mountains that reach right down into the ocean.
