For boaters wanting something quieter, there are the Main Lakes on Quadra Island that provide an interesting side trip. To the east of Quadra Island is Octopus Islands Provincial Park, a popular destination situated between two tidal currents in Okisollo Channel with Surge Narrows to the south and Upper and Lower Rapids to the north.
